Yeast Rolls
My favorite recipe to make with my Dad!
Ingredients:

2 Packages of Dry Yeast

1 TSP of Sugar

2/3 Cup of Sugar, Separated

1/2 Cup Warm Water

1 TSP Salt

1/4 Cup of Margarine
-
1/4 Cup of Shortening
-
1/2 Cup of Boiling Water

1 Egg, beaten
-
3 Cups of Flour, Divided
Directions:

Dissolve Yeast and 1 teaspoon of sugar in 1/2 cup of warm water, allow to stand for 5 minutes.

Combine remaining sugar, salt, butter, and shortening in a large bowl. Add boiling water, and stir until butter and shortening are melted. Add dissolved yeast, continuing to stir well. Add eggs and 1-1/2 cup of flour. Gradually stir in remaining flour to make soft dough.

Place dough in a well greased bowl. Allow dough to rise until doubled in size.

Punch dough down and form into balls/rolls. Let rise until doubled in bulk.

Bake at 325 for 20 to 25 minutes.
